Project Introduction - New China Life Insurance - NCI

To implement NCI - New China Life Insurance's (www.newchinalife.com) technology-enabled strategy to meet regulation and better customer needs, NCI realized that customers could obtain various product information and purchase products from the mobile app, and discover the full product cycles services such as policy payment, consultation, insurance coverage, and claim settlement. Moreover, NCI can collect customer information and activity preferences in the process of users using each service, making NCI App an essential source of NCI customer data. At the same time, NCI App can also carry out a series of online promotions through user information and user preferences, including online operations, business promotion, intelligent recommendations, and other capabilities. At the same time, NCI App also contributes backend services and customer data together with other businesses of NCI, reducing isolated development and data silo problems.


APP Server is positioned as an intermediate management system for NCI's Internet business. The system can create global user and customer master data in real time and integrate static customer result information provided by various backend data systems to provide service support to the frontend service system and channel system.


Business pain points and issues to be solved for NCI

1. The wide range of NCI's businesses and products, which are scattered in various independent business systems, cannot provide timely data services for the company's new business expansion.

Hunk Times' contribution to this project

In the architecture design of the project, Hunk Times, to provide more user-friendly services, we positioned the user center module as an intermediate management system with data sources covering mainly the new and old core systems, customer management platform, NCI App, official website, official microblog frontend system, points system, and payment system. And the user center module is used as a service provider to provide frontend channels with human-centered information management services such as the user's customer number, account number, identity, and portrait label. The user center module offers:

-   Frontend registration and login services
-   User information entry/change services
-   Authentication call services
-   Query services

At the same time, we keep customer-level tag information; customer tag information is processed by the customer management platform system and synchronized to the user center module; the user's device tag, behavior tag, and location tag are provided by the frontend system, and the user center module unifies to provide real-time query services to the outside world.


App Server is positioned to coordinate the association between the frontend and NCI's backend new core system, Cloudwing User Center, Cloudwing Payment Center, Authentication Center system, e-policy platform, points system, asset management, pension system, providing registration and login service, user information entry/change service, authentication call service, query service, insurance operation, premium payment operation, etc. for the frontend.
