On June 18, 2015, Beijing Bank formally established the Zhongguancun Maker Center, becoming the first bank in China to launch a Maker Center. Mr. Gou Zhongwen, member of the Standing Committee of the Beijing Municipal Party Committee and Party Secretary of the Zhongguancun Management Committee, and Mr. Yu Jun, Acting Mayor of Haidian District, attended the event.
Zhongguancun Maker Center of Beijing Bank implements membership management, including four types of entrepreneurial members, growth members, institutional members, and maker mentors. Among them, entrepreneurial members and growth members are customer representatives in the fields of technology, culture, and green; institutional members are investment companies, guarantee companies, leasing companies, incubators, securities companies, accounting firms, law firms, industry associations, industry alliances, and other institutions. Maker mentors are successful entrepreneurs with social influence and rich entrepreneurial experience.
Bank of Beijing selected ten companies including Glodon and China Rent-A-Car among thousands of cooperative companies as maker mentor companies; Hunk Times and other 15 companies were selected as the first-stage maker mentor companies.
